Colour coded Cleaning and Hygiene

The aim of the colour coding system is to help prevent cross contamination during the cleaning process. It is vital that a system forms part of an employee training program and day-to-day working. The colour coding of cleaning is a simple but important step that will make a large contribution to hygiene standards and help with the elimination of cross infection. A proper colour coding system is also recommended for use by the HSE

Colour coding is more important than you may think when it comes to cleaning especially to foods, beverage and pharmaceutical companies where hygiene practices is the most important priority of its production and manufacturing process. 

This is a system of using a certain colour of cloth, mop and bucket in a particular area when cleaning. The chosen colour will be used only in that area specified.
